Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines, supportscheduled measurement process, and assist with training of other team members.
*** Utilize formal Inspection Standards, apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and interpret 2D and 3D math data models to develop appropriate measurement plan and train team members as necessary in use.
*** Develop dimensional reporting structure for Metrology Team and operating programs for automated CNC-drive and manual CMM utilizing various dimensional Control reporting software such as Pi-Web, CM4D, FARO SPC, Datamyte, and CMM operating languages including Metrologic, CAM2, PC-Demis.
*** Perform or assist with review and evaluation of CMM holding fixtures, component parts, and assembly inspection fixtures to determine if adequate for task.
*** Assist with reverse engineering activities related to corrective action and process improvement activities by developing, updating, and modifying software programming or templates.
*** Maintain Calibration Recall database and coordinate activities relating to fixture maintenance, repair, calibration, and certification.
*** Perform calibration of inspection fixtures, gauges, holding fixture, hand held Metrology tools, etc. per the established schedule.
*** Validate coordinate points, assist measurement of statistical control points and significant characteristics, and support data collection and data-dumps into designated folders.
