Job Summary
Acts as the primary point of accountability for data security to business partners within assigned area. Supports and maintains security systems to ensure the integrity of company information and resources. Supports the investigation, identification, and resolution of data security events/breaches. Interfaces with internal and external entities to ensure adherence to data security procedures and policies.This job does not manage others This job works under General Supervision: Incumbent independently performs a variety of duties, including potentially complex duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments (e.g. assigned customers, claims or other specified set of responsibilities); is expected to set priorities and meet specific goals and objectives of the function or unit. (Typically pertains to advanced/operational, senior professional, unit supervisor)

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide operational support, trouble shooting and maintenance of Security related processes, controls or products. Independently analyze and resolve problems of medium to high complexity. Configure, test, document and implement new or upgrades to security processes, controls or products as directed. Participates in resolving situations involving improper attempts to access or infiltrate our networks. Recommends changes to area procedures and products. Implements with management review. Support reviewing or identifying and responding to security events and escalating to management. Consults with business peers to support and resolve data security events. Understands and has input to the budget process, and shares responsibility for cost-effective expense control of assigned projects. Participate in Security and enterprise projects as assigned. Act as a security representative at design and new technology meetings. Provides guidance to more junior employees.

Job Specific duties include:

  • Automation of security monitoring, alerting, and remediation
  • Security review and testing of AWS and Azure services as they are requested by the business
  • Implementation and management of container security product and program
  • Development of secure architecture patterns for serverless/containerized implementations of applications
  • Security review and consultation for new SaaS products
  • Regular security reviews and consultation on new AWS and Azure applications

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Three years of work experience within Computer Science or a related field required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline preferred.Five years of relevant experience with data security practices, processes, and data security event investigation/resolution preferred.Experience providing high-level administrative support with a comprehensive knowledge of specific IS Security methodologies, processes and software packages and a conceptual understanding of other IS Security procedures and policies preferred.

  • Experienced with Amazon Web Services architecture and application development
  • Experienced with AWS API integration and automation
  • Experienced with building AWS Config rules and Lambda functions
  • Experienced with developing with Python
  • Understanding of enterprise identity and access management
  • Understanding of using and securing container technologies (including Docker and Kubernetes)

Additional preferred skills include:

• TCP/IP networking
• CI/CD including DevOps and DevSecOps
• Azure experience a plus
• Azure Active Directory and ADFS experience a plus
• Node/Go experience a plus
