As our Cloud Engineering Principal, you will assist our customers by architecting, developing and re-engineering applications that can fully leverage the Cloud. You will be a hands-on senior technical leader helping to accelerate our Cloud journey by partnering with Capital Group’s application and engineering teams to exploit innovative technologies to accelerate competitive business initiatives. You will conceive of and work on a variety of game changing projects, at the forefront of application development and cloud technology adoption. You will ensure our applications are cloud optimized by leading the architectural vision and development of cloud tooling that enables them to reap the benefits of elasticity, horizontal scalability, automation and high availability
You will leverage engineering best practices to provide executive level technology leadership for building out Capital Group’s hybrid Cloud solutions to drive key business initiatives. Experience, passion, and intellectual curiosity with a bias for driving architecturally sound decisions with well-engineered solutions is critical for success. You will foster an environment of agile thinkers that will drive application optimization through DevOps practices like infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment. You will focus on a portfolio of tools and services that will make Capital Group’s journey to the Cloud fast and effective. You will identify architectural and process bottlenecks, propose actionable plans to address them, and lead the implementation of simple and cost-effective solutions. You will identify, evaluate, and prioritize technology investments to accelerate building in the Cloud.
In this role, you will need to manage cross-functional communication to build consensus, identify and mitigate risks to efficient delivery, deconstruct ambiguous problems into straightforward solutions, prioritize competing opportunities, and drive understanding for engineering teams as well as the executive layer.
