The Cloud Delivery architect will be responsible for being the technical expert for supported accounts from contract language negotiations through day 2 support. To be effective, the Cloud Delivery Architect must have a deep knowledge of collaboration solutions in a service delivery model. The Cloud Delivery architect must have seasoned experience working on multiple delivery projects, and deep understanding of hardware, networking, virtualization, and unified and contact center communication systems. The person needs an ability to share and communicate ideas verbally, both orally and in writing, to executive staff, business sponsors and technical resources in clear concise language that is the vernacular of each group.

Is accountable for:

  • Validation of solution as proposed (post signature solution validation)– prior to Transition kick off
  • Documented Process and incident tracking during transition to Day 2 status
  • Identify, track and size Scope changes and align with PM for customer communication
  • Validated/Documented acceptance criteria (C1 and Client) before transitioning to Day 2
  • Achieve committed customer time to go-live and time to revenue
  • Development of reusable assets for cloud solutions


Essential Functions

  • Develops and executes a solution strategy and business plan for customer deployments
  • Acts as a visionary and strategist for deployment solution improvement
  • Works with cross functional teams in many silos to keep the technical solution aligned
  • Helps business development life cycle by serving as a product SME to help identify and qualify business development opportunities
  • Consults on design, support, and management of recommended solutions
  • Analyzes customer needs, issues and interests to develop a strategy to achieve business objectives
  • Leads development of formalized solution methodologies
  • Develops and maintains technical competency for all products within the delivery portfolio
  • Reviews, contributes, and evaluates scopes of work
  • Accountable for Technical Management and technical risk, through solution engineering
  • Effectively communicates, clear and concise solution strategy and key updates to executive team members
  • Gather technical requirements during design and discovery phase

Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge in telephony and telephony systems
  • MPLS
  • SD-WAN
  • Network troubleshooting and understanding of QoS, latency, jitter
  • E.164 & North America numbering plan
  • Bandwidth requirements & calculation
  • SBCs
  • PBX, IVR, WFM, ACD, Recordings
  • Strong background in virtualized technologies
  • VMWare, Nutanix/KVM, Hyper-V etc.
  • Networking core competency
  • IP addressing, routing, DNS and VPN
  • NAT & Proxy
  • Routing protocols
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure solutions in a service orientated solution

Required Qualifications

  • At least (15) years of technical or operational experience
  • At least (16) years of education
  • Well-reversed on the current manufacturers and technologies in the voice, video and data space
  • Background and experience with Collaboration product suites and their related technologies
  • Proficient at all Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent relationship and collaboration skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong technical aptitude is required

  • Strong multi-level relationship management, persuasion and influencing skills
  • Passion for service delivery and excellence
  • Leadership and coaching skills a plus
  • Experience working with the integration of multiple products from multiple vendors into a single solution
  • Understanding of the customer lifecycle (pre-sales process through support)
  • Deep knowledge of trending technologies and use cases for SD-WAN, hybrid cloud, and public cloud
