As a Cloud Architect with OST (www.ostusa.com ), you will leverage cloud provider platforms to drive high priority customer initiatives. YOU are very technical, have a deep history of providing exceptional customer service, and you are accountable for end-to-end customer cloud deployments. You are skilled at owning technical customer engagements including architectural design sessions and proofs of concept, and you are able to lead deep, technical architecture and application design discussions with senior customer executives to drive cloud deployment. As a Cloud Architect Consultant, you’ve built a successful point of view that is cloud enabled, cloud appropriate, and cloud ready—but you’ll never stop learning or challenging your own assumptions. With your team of consultants, you intuitively use your leadership skills to grow their internal cloud knowledge, capabilities, and best practices. Key responsibilities

  • Drive deployment of customer workloads into Azure or AWS and into OST’s Cloud Services Platform or public cloud solutions
  • Increase customer consumption of cloud platforms by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers’ cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers
  • Identify, validate and grow opportunities to accelerate consumption in customer accounts with high migration potential
  • Work in partnership with the OST sales team, driving hybrid solution architecture and simulating compelling cloud pricing models for both Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other third-party solutions
  • Design and updateinfrastructure monitoring, management plan design road map and engagement for performing migration
  • Accelerate consumption in high-potential customer accounts by providing deep technical expertise and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to support migrating complex workloads to the cloud
  • Automation skills, such as Portal/PowerShell/CLI Administration and Configuration for IaaS and PaaS
  • Ability to design an architecture for cloud network deployment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Successful completion (or candidate validation) of at least one of the Microsoft Azure technical certification exams (70-532, 70-533, or 70-534) or certified AWS Solution Architect
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, patterns, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
  • Successful in building technical relationships with senior executives and growing cloud consumption share in large or highly strategic accounts
  • 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects
  • 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in “migrating” on-premises workloads to the Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Internet of Things (IoT) concepts and designing platforms to suit specific application requirements
  • Ability to provide examples of providing oversight of as well as successful transition to implementation support teams for major transformation projects
  • Ability to travel nationwide 30% of your time, on average
