Position Summary
The University of New Mexico, Health SciencesCenter, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks a faculty member to join theDivision of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. This position isfor a Clinician Educator track. Salary and rank will be commensurate withexperience and education. This position may be subject to a criminalrecords screening in accordance with New Mexico law.
Responsibilities will includea mixture of up to maximum of 10 weeks of service as a critical care attendingin the MICU and as a pulmonary attending on the consult service and may bedivided between UNMH and Sandoval Regional Medical Center. Two half days ofclinic per week; of the ICU weeks, one week will be in house nights covering adultICUs overnight. The proportion of ICU to pulmonary weeks is based on divisionalneeds and will be adjusted on a yearly basis. Completion of appropriate billingand documentation in a timely fashion and maintain up-to-date medical recordsas per policies of the Department.

Critical care facilities include a 24-bed medical intensive care unit,24-bed trauma surgical intensive care unit and 24-bed neuroscience intensivecare unit but we anticipate moving into the new Critical Care Tower with atotal of 96 ICU beds in 2025.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Must be board certified in Internal Medicine; and
- MD or DO or MBBS
- Must be eligible to work in the US
Preferred Qualifications: - Education of fellows and house staff in pulmonary and critical care medicine
- Scholarly activity or quality improvement projects
- Board eligible/certified in Pulmonary
- Board eligible/certified in Critical Care Medicine
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity,inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diversecommunities
