Essential Job Functions: Provides guidance, evaluation and education to ensure research integrity and compliance with institutional policies, federal regulations, and other clinical practice guidelines. Provides quality assurance and educational services to research investigators. Perform site audits to ensure compliance to protocols regulatory agencies and sponsor guidelines and completeness of patient assessments, findings, and medication administration. Creates reports to document all relevant results and observations from site visits. Prepares and implements project specific training programs and materials for presentation. Reviews new concepts and protocols in development. Communicates recommendations regarding patient safety, protocol inconsistencies and protocol. Acts as an expert resource and liaison for internal and external agencies and research investigators.
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Five years of nursing experience to include at least two years of clinical research experience.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required by patient care area.
Must pass pre-employment test as required and administered by Human Resources.
