Overview:  The Global Core Coronary Upstream Marketing Manager is responsible for contributing to the on-going success and growth of the coronary $300 million guide wire and BDC business. This individual will be a key contributor to the three main pillars which includes: the technologyportfolio, sales enablement and physician engagement. This manager will be accountable for global brand performance to continue AVGW market share leadership in this space.

Responsibilities Aligned to Key GW Strategic Pillars:

  • Technology Portfolio:
  • Identify, quantify and qualify global product market opportunities in support of the business strategy
  • Develop insights regarding market, regional, competitive and clinical trends leveraging the voice-of-the-customer
  • Translate physician clinical needs into product specs
  • Contribute extensively to the development of new products, partnering with R&D
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the Integrated Marketing Business Process
  •  Sales Enablement:  
  • Develop and disseminate competitive insights to the organization
  • Serve as the clinical and product expert in the field, at sales meetings and congresses
  • Physician Engagement:
  • Develop relationships with regional KOLs
  • Create and lead an influencer and advocacy physician network/forum
  • Participate in Medical Advisory Boards
  • Contribute to the fellowship and MD:MD education initiatives
  • Coordinate and lead regional small to mid-size training events
  • Oversee voice-of-customer (internal and external) in market research activities
  • General support of the Core Coronary team:
  • Active participant in the GW Task Force
  • Invoice submission and tracking

  • 10+ years technical product and/or clinical experience, engineering background beneficial
  • 2+ years direct physician experience, cath lab experience beneficial

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiencerequired; advanced degree (such as a Master's degree or MBA) is desired;   Typically requires 5+ years of experience with or exposure to sales and/or marketing in the following areas: healthcare, medical devices, or medical diagnostics to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position. Candidate / incumbent should possess the following: - understanding of the technology and capabilities of the Division's products; - understanding of market and customer dynamics; - understanding of sales processes; - knowledge of regulations and standards affecting medical devices/diagnostics; - ability to lead and influence without direct authority; - ability to work independently and in groups; ability to work cross-functionally; - ability to apply analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and critical-thinking skills; - ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications, whether verbal, written or in presentations; - ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software; - ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
