Works as both chemotherapy preparation pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP) in the medical oncology clinic. Time will be divided evenly between the two job functions with the chemotherapy preparation in the morning and CPP duties in the afternoon.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
One year pharmacist experience preferred. Effective communicator and team player. Knowledge of medications including their mechanisms of action, proper dosages, and potential interactions. Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws. Proficiency in computer programs used for job functions.
Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
Must be able to see and read physician orders and medication labels. Must have manual dexterity to type on computer keyboard and compound intravenous admixtures. Must be able to move about the chemotherapy compounding pharmacies and medical oncology clinics.
