We are seeking a full time Clinical Educator to assist with the coordination of training and onboarding our Clinical Technicians (Clin Tech Academy). This is an Inova System position working for the ILN (Inova Learning Network).
Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based practice principles, and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for both new employees and experienced staff. Designs programs to orient new staff to patient care and outcome standards, such as core measures, NDNQI standards, and patient satisfaction. Develops strategies and tools to assess competence of new nursing staff members, focusing on quality of care, patient outcomes and patient safety goals Shares responsibility and accountability for the quality and safety of patient care. Contributes to quality and safety initiatives across the organization. Seeks opportunities for departmental improvements. Seeks opportunities for departmental improvement. Consistently applies Lean thinking to departmental operations to enhance services. Demonstrates an orientation toward achievement and professional growth of self and others Demonstrates advanced leadership traits, prepares annual self-development plan, displays exceptional project management skills, sets professional goals, and seeks opportunities for achieving them.
-Five years progressive experience in Nursing/Clinical Specialty and/or Nursing/Clinical Education/development and/or leadership and project management. (Prefer education experience)
-Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Education and/or other relevant field.
-Prefered not required: Certification in nursing continuing education and staff development and/or clinical specialty
