Clinical Director Of Nursing at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY

Directs the daily activities for a designated clinical function to ensure that the business and clinical goals and objectives are achieved. Develops and implements policies and procedures, prepares and monitors the budget, and manages staff.

The Montefiore Clinical Director of Nursing maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement.

The Clinical Director of Nursing actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.

This position is accountable with the VP for the overall management of activities in the designated Care Centers to ensure that quality, compassionate, culturally competent, effective and efficient patient care is delivered in compliance with the standards and regulations of the Montefiore Health System and Regulatory Agencies.

Accountable, with the Chief Nurse Executive, Nursing Executive Leadership Staff and Members of Nursing Executive Council in a shared governance model to plan, develop, implement and evaluate the scope of practice for nursing service staff, nursing professional practice standards and patient care outcomes.

Requirements:

Clinical Experience: 8+ years

Managerial Experience: 4-7 years

Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing or related field

Excellent Leadership Skills

New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration to practice in New York State.
