Job Summary
Responsible for managing and coordinating all clinical activities that advance the operations for the Cohen Veterans Clinic (CVN) of Cape Fear Valley Health System. Both the Corporate Director of Behavioral Health Care & Sleep Medicine and the Clinic Director interface with the CVN Central Office, and are the primary conduits of the CVN mission, policies, and communications to the clinic. The clinic director will be a full-time employee of the clinic, but may spend part of her/his time performing patient-facing clinical work. Coordinates all clinic management and personnel activities in order to ensure appropriate staffing and quality clinical services. Provides management support for the Corporate Director of Behavioral Health & Sleep Medicine, along with other directors in the service line. Serves as a liaison and/or support with Physicians, Psychotherapists, Administration and other staff as requested.

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: • Licensed Clinician in social work, psychology, Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, and/or M.D. degree in psychiatry with specialized training and expertise in evidenced-based trauma treatment. State specific licensure required • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading, managing, and or supervising within a clinical setting. 10-15 years of clinical experience is preferred. • Experience across a range of modalities beyond individual adult treatment to include child, couples, and family treatment is preferred. • Must have experience treating and diagnosing PTSD as well as co-morbid diagnoses (e.g., SUD, depression, anxiety), with evidence-based treatments and providing clinical supervision in these areas. • Experience working with a military or veteran population is preferred. • Must demonstrate leadership capacity and ability to foster team-building and a supportive, flexible environment. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Solid understanding of computer functions to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, photocopier and fax machines . Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact tactfully with hospital management, physicians, visitors, patients and other staff. Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and organizational skills. Must be results-oriented and exemplify a team player attitude. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and insurance policies, procedures and regulations. Must have excellent spelling and grammatical skills. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Must have ability to work independently and have good organizational and communication skills.
