Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer (COO), this position is responsible for the oversight of all women's and children's services and programs, operating results and continued growth of the Family Life Center (FLC) and Pediatrics (Peds). The Service Line Director is responsible for assuring the highest quality patient care and professional services that exceed patient and family expectations in a cost-effective and accessible manner, optimal utilization of the FLC/Peds services, development of successful physician alignment/relationships and achievement of established operational and strategic objectives.
Areas of direct responsibility include management & supervision of the Emergency Triage FLC, Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, FLC Surgical and Post-anesthesia Recovery areas, Newborn, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatrics and support service areas associated with women's and children's health. The Service Line Director provides vision and leadership for the assessment, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services in FLC/Peds. He/she has oversight of all aspects of clinical and business operations and programs, evaluation of effectiveness & outcomes based on policies and procedures and quality and strategic initiatives. Evaluates and prioritizes all decision making in a manner consistent with professional organization/evidence based practice and accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and quality initiatives.

Master's Degree required – Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Management or other closely related field or equivalent
Minimum 5 years experience in Perinatal leadership and operations, in a hospital/healthcare environment &/or community practice setting with proven track record and demonstrated quality, service and financial outcomes
Demonstrated knowledge of acute care and women's and children's programs and services/specialty professional, licensing, accreditation and regulatory compliance standards
Working knowledge of scope and standards of practice by professional specialty organizations - American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOF), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and Society of Pediatric Nurses (SNP)
Excellent computer and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications
Bilingual (English and Spanish) capability preferred.
Current CA RN license
Current BLS (AHA)
Current ACLS, NRP, STABLE
Certification in area of specialty preferred
