JOB SUMMARY:Responsibilities will include outpatient general pediatric and gastroenterology clinical care, inpatient pediatric gastroenterology care, supervision of trainees, and opportunity to develop clinical expertise in areas within general pediatrics. Development and implementation of a general gastroenterology access initiative will be a key component of this position. This program would allow earlier access for community pediatricians to subspecialty gastroenterology services embedded in the GI division for a specialized list of gastroenterology referrals such as abdominal pain, constipation, reflux, vomiting, diarrhea and failure to thrive.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:MD or equivalent; must be BC/BE in pediatrics and BC/BE in pediatric gastroenterology; Eligible for a New York State medical license.
