The Client Director role is the key leadership role in client identification and selection, client relationship building, opportunity identification, and as we earn the right to perform projects for our desired clients, is dedicated to achieving the goals of client satisfaction and technical excellence in the delivery of our services, primarily through leading teams for targeted clients. Successful Client Directors establish and maintain strong relationships by collaboratively and effectively communicating with key clients as well as internal leadership in Technical Excellence, Operational Excellence, and our other business units. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing a business development strategy for a portfolio of clients. This strategy will necessarily include concepts for growth of our staff count (towards an agreeable definition of critical mass) through combined leveraged hires (on current firm workload) and investment hires in the region. Secondary responsibilities include project management and direction, financial management, risk assessment and management, quality control of deliverables, health and safety, and client communications.
Ideal candidates will have strong marketplace awareness and a demonstrated ability with respect to client selectivity, client targeting and client relationship development. You will bring strong business understanding and the ability to envision and implement strategies to achieve greater staff-count and presence in the region. We seek individuals with 20+ years of relevant experience which includes excellent business development and client services within our local markets. A PE license and related engineering degree(s) are required. Master’s Degree in engineering or business management is preferred.
