Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and direct the workflow/loan activity in the Claims department, minimizing potential client and/or company losses.

  • Serve as liaison between clients and senior management.

  • Review all cases on a regular basis; conduct research as needed.

  • Have working knowledge of and ensure compliance/adherence with all investor, insurer, client and company guidelines, rules, regulations and/or requirements; PMI and master servicer rules/regulations; and local/federal laws.

  • Manage and adhere to conveyances/claims, as set forth by investor/insurer guidelines.

  • Ensure company goals are met regarding conveyances and claim filing and client/investor delay reporting.

  • Work in conjunction with attorneys, investors, insurers, PMI companies, and master servicers to expedite the completion of claims and minimize losses.

  • Oversee filing of supplemental claims.

  • Manage and monitor the performance of outside vendors; make recommendations for replacing vendors if not performing.

  • Monitor/review payment to vendors in a timely manner.

  • Order, develop and prepare weekly/monthly reports.

  • Attend client meetings.

  • Set goals and prepare/present performance reviews for staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:    

  • College degreepreferred

  • 5+ years’ experience in mortgage default operations

  • 3 - 5 years property preservation, REO and claimsexperience for FHA, VA, GSE and asset loans

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years management experience

  • Strong knowledge of current practices, procedures, and regulations/laws related to default administration for GSE/HUD/VA and residential/conventional mortgage loans

  • Working knowledge of mortgage servicing system (MSP/Black Knight)

  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and ability to learn industry related systems.

  • Strong analytical and accounting skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and accurately work in a fast paced environment within tight deadlines.
