*This position has the flexibility to be based in either our Tallahassee or Orlando, FL offices.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: -Performing Traffic Engineering tasks and collaborating with existing staff on FDOT assignments as well as supporting projects throughout the United States.-Supporting statewide planning services of numerous programs, including managed lanes, access management, the interchange program, capacity/LOS, corridor feasibility studies, and training programs. Performing complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques, procedures, processes, products, equipment, and methods.
A successful CDM Smith candidate will have:-B.S. or M.S. in engineering.-At least 5 to 7 years of experience since B.S.-Traffic modeling software experience with CORSIM, VISSIM, Synchro/Simtraffic, HCS and SIDRA.-Experience in preparing traffic signal design and traffic control plans using Microstation, AutoCAD, SignCAD and AutoTURN.-E.I.T. or the ability to obtain it within 18 months.-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.-Familiarity with necessary computer programs.
