SGM is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with land development emphasis to:

  • Forward SGM?s mission to make its clients successful by developing and delivering innovative, practical solutions
  • Provide engineering expertise in land development, general civil infrastructure, planning and design of projects
  • Adeptly manage all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, budget, schedule, client expectations and internal project team performance
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships


Minimum qualifications for the successful candidate are:

  • Strong desire to live, work, and play in Western Colorado
  • Progressive experience in civil engineering including extensive drainage analysis and design, site design and grading, roadways, utility service, plan preparation and permitting
  • Current PE license in civil engineering or related field
  • Experience with progressive drainage regulations and design solutions, particularly those in compliance with Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD, Denver, CO) criteria
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Project management experience with strong performance record
  • AutoCAD/Civil 3D familiarity
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Proven ability to work with demanding regulatory agencies to successfully permit and complete projects

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Progressive experience as a lead client service/relationship manager
  • Direct staff supervisionexperience
  • Desire to mentor entry-level engineers and be a team leader
  • Track record of successfully developing new business
  • Active member of relevant professional organizations
