Jasco is currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer to provide the vision, leadership and direction to execute strategies that support the company’s strategic objectives, core values and mission.

 

The Chief Operating Officer will be responible for conceptualizing, implementing, managing and optimizing all procedural and operational aspects of the Company with a singular focus of realizing the CEO’s vision for achieving extraordinary growth while remaining the industry leader in customer service excellence. With responsibility for the Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse & Distribution and Facilities management, the COO will ensure that essential business building blocks such as operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems are put into place consistently to drive executional effectiveness while always seeking continuous improvement and increased efficiencies. The COO will be very dynamic and have the strength, character and stamina to thrive in a fast-paced culture that values innovation, rapid yet sustainable growth within our competitive industry.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  •  
  • Provides global leadership and direction for all logistics, planning, inventory and business continuity functions in a fast paced environment. This includes the negotiation and management of inbound and outbound freight contracts, import and export requirements, duties, factory direct, domestic distribution to all major retailers and direct to consumer fulfillment.

  • Must be fully committed to customer service excellence and maintaining industry leading on-time    and complete fill rates.
  •  
  • Leads organizational change initiatives by continuously accessing the need for improvement, championing change initiatives and removing impeding obstacles. Proactively proposes and/or assesses operational investments. Works with team to lead innovative ideas from a conceptual start to a completed reality.
  •  
  • Must be able to understand company financials in depth with the ability to troubleshoot for negative trends and make changes ahead to minimize impact to future financials. This includes understanding the profit and loss statements and budget planning.
  •  
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external and for achieving Company set inventory goals and fill rates to customers. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the Company.

  • Manage substantial inventory assets by maximizing turn and minimizing Excess &Idle inventory while ensuring adequate inventory levels to maintain industry leading fill rates for customers.

  • Lead global Sustainability and Automation initiatives to shape the Company into an industry leader in these areas.

  • Responsible for Global facilities management and maintenance including, facilities in the US, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Mexico, including 3rd party warehouses.

  • Able to lead all tactical and strategic teams and to develop strong capable leaders who are accountable for measurable business results.

  • Manages all resources required for business, including the relationships with internal and external resource providers.
  •  
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the Company.

  • Oversee staff operations, business planning and budget development of Operations Programs.

  • B.S. in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or other related degreerequired. 10-15years’ experience in a high level position with proven track record, specific to distribution. Experience with E-Commerce fulfillment and distribution automation preferred. Experience with implementation or conversion of purchasing systems preferred.
  • Team member must have the ability to transport self from building to building and to attend various functions and meetings at other sites either within or outside of the organization. Some travel may be required.

  • Direct import management experience.
  •  
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems and forecasting.
  •  
  • Knowledge of purchasing and importing from Asia.
