Chief Operating Officer: The first position of it?s kind for this New York based agency. Are you interested in creating a role from scratch?

Up until this point the responsibilities of the Chief Operating Officer have been divided between the President, CFO and various divisional leaders. As this New York independent, regional agency prepares for phase one of it?s plans to double and eventually quadruple in size, they need an accomplished business leader whose sole focus is executing high level strategy. Imagine your job is to lift the entire operation off its foundation and push it forward into the future. That?s what this role can be, more so than just one function of the business (a product line, a discipline, a personnel team). However, because of the firm?s size you still have to like digging into the day-to-day function of the business. You?re going to be involved in:

  • Sales and service initiatives
  • Insurance company, association and vendor partnerships/negotiations
  • Human Resources, talent acquisition and personnel management
  • IT, infrastructure maintenance and scaling the operations to match revenue growth
