We are a retained executive search firm and have been engaged by a healthcare contract staffing agency to find a Chief Operating Officer with strong customer interface experience who will oversee operations, project management and who can also bring the company into new markets.
The company presently provides nurses, allied healthcare professionals and occasionally physicians primarily to government institutions. The majority of their business is with military base hospitals and other military healthcare providers, including Walter Reed. They also provide staff to the Navajo Nation.
The company would like to increase the portion of their business that is in non-government markets, such as hospitals and healthcare systems, nursing homes and some government markets such as prisons.
The COO will report to the President, who is based at another company which she also runs that is held by the same ownership. This company is owned by small investment firm/holding company, which owns seven other companies in various industries.
The company employs approximately 500 healthcare providers, of whom about 80% are registered nurses.
The new COO must have experience in managing operations of a contract healthcare firm. In addition, this person must have demonstrated experience developing new markets in the non-government sector.
The company is located in a major Texas city with year-round pleasant weather. The metro area is noted for its upbeat atmosphere and numerous cultural, academic and athletic activities.
The position will include a very good salary, solid bonus plus equity
