The Chief Online Officer is a critical role in the transformation of Sears Holdings. This role will leverage digital capabilities to design and build shopping experiences that will have an immediate impact on the way customers interact with us and perceive us. This role will be fully responsible for developing and executing the member-centric business strategy and driving financial results in Sears Holdings' online businesses. This leader will work in a GM capacity and will be accountable for the P&L for the online business by overseeing an ecommerce business operating primarily under the Sears and Kmart brands, including a Marketplace platform.
This role will have cross-functional leadership responsibility across Merchandising, Inventory, Pricing, User Experience, Member Technology, Shop Your Way, and other teams to develop online strategies, fill assortment gaps, accurately price, promote, and leverage technology to develop a compelling online user experience. While this position will need to lead the online business within a highly matrixed organizational structure, this leader will have direct supervision over the online business operations, finance and marketplace teams.
As an executive leader at Sears Holdings Corporation, this role also ensures that the business strategies fit within the framework of the larger enterprise including integratedretail, member strategies, and companyfinancialgoals.
Successful and progressive experience in a similar role of responsibility in a large company driving profitable growth in an ecommerce environment or a long record of accomplishment in positions leading up to such a role.
Online or multichannel environment experience leading strategy for homepage management, digital marketing, loyalty programs and targeted marketing models to drive online business performance.
