The Chief of Staffsupports the President by planning and directing all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the President.  As an advisor, problem solver, researcher and implementer (hands-on), the COS ensures activities are streamlined and handled appropriately allowing the President to focus on the mission, leading the organization, business strategy and results. The COS participates in the development of strategies, creating and interpreting various financialreports, researches and analyzes, provides input on business situations, develops materials for the President to utilize in meetings, and suggests problem resolution and alternative approaches.


This role requires the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.


Responsibilities include:

  • Acts as an advisor and aide-de-camp to the President. Anticipates needs and takes self-directed actions to align President’s strategy to the activities of the senior staff.
  • The COS oversees highly prioritized projects and programs, organizes and gathers vast amount of data and information from various departments and meetings and presents that information and context, along with recommendations to the President and other executive staff members.
  • The COS assesses inquiries directed to the President, determines the proper course of action and delegates to the appropriate individual to manage.  Manages and maintains external and internal relationships key to the success of the businesses.
  • Responsible for researching and analyzing markets, competitors, etc. in conjunction with Marketing, Sales and Product organizations.  Keeps up with industry trends through field research, reading literature and communication with industry thought leaders and regularly shares this information with the President in a way that is concise, summarized and actionable.
  • Manages and oversees special projects as assigned by the President with limited guidance.
  • Responsible to manage projects for strategic and tactical initiatives on behalf of the President.
  • Manages the flow of information by ensuring the President is adequately prepared for meetings including verbal briefings, written material and financial materials.
  • Tracks strategic initiatives, monitors progress towards goals and achieving benchmarks, analyzing data, ensuring follow-through on the part of key persons, and sustaining momentum needed to drive initiative to completion.
  • Develops presentations and summary reports for President and senior staff.  Take complex data and provides concise, informative and actionable intelligence. Ensures distribution and operating mechanisms required to drive to action throughout the organization.
  • Oversees administrative staff and arranges and administers key meetings and dinners, ensures travel arrangements are completed, etc.
  • Serves as steward of highly confidential information and acts as a trustworthy liaison between the Presidentand internal and external stakeholders on key matters.
  • Travel globally with, and on the behalf of, the President. Participates in meetings with clients, prospective clients, partners, and employees at all levels of the company.  Travel requirement is 30-50%.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field required
  • Master’s Degree or MBA preferred




  • 3-8 years of business experience in a similar role, and/or business leadership
  • Minimum of 1 year working directly with executives, Presidents.  Experience developing relationships with senior level teams.
  • 3-8years financialexperience (CPApreferred). Minimum. Provides oversight and visibility to financials across multiple businesses.
  • Prior experience maintaining the strictest confidentiality while adhering to the highest levels of integrity. Experience working with highly confidential information.
  • Experience handling multiple assignments, projects and changing priorities.
  • Experience in creating strategy and actively seeking opportunities and solutions.
  • Solid understanding of finance with experience in financial analysis, modeling, and business performance metrics.
  • Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions or other business development activitiespreferred.




  • Flexible schedule requiring night and weekend work and travel both in the US and Internationally.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task and effectively prioritize conflicting assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to build a strong team and to actively develop the team’s potential through coaching and effective performance management.
  • Proven ability to organize/manage multiple priorities coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving. Solid decision making in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills including excellent presentation and ability to adapt to various business cultures and audiences.
