The Chief Marketing Officer for SIOT is responsible for driving the overall strategic and tactical marketing plan for the business, ensuring delivery of annual operating commitments in a high growth environment. S/he will lead the creation of the group's annual and three year business plan, set marketing objectives, establish and lead core communication, and deliver resources to support go-to-market activities, in order to meet customer needs, establish market leadership, drive innovation, and build a sustainable and scalable team.

  • Assist in development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and leading the creation and reset of our three-year plan (i.e. STRAP).
  • Establish overall marketing strategy including brand development, core messaging, value propositions, and market positioning
  • Create and execute innovative strategies and marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement and product/solution adoption
  • Conduct market research and assess market opportunities and competitive threat to determine the best business course of action
  • Develop best practices in communication, internally and externally, including but not limited to traditional and digital media (web, social, mobile, etc.)
  • Lead the break through initiative ideation and feasibility process for future technology solution opportunities globally
  • Align and develop applications engineering teams both on technical sales and new product development teams to optimize the organization and ensure a culture of commercialization of technology solutions
  • Lead Commercial Excellence strategy by working with Sales Leadership to develop sales materials and support go-to-market activities
  • Work across regional marketing teams to align and amplify global marketing efforts and lead development of growth programs
  • Partner with cross-functional counterparts to ensure linkage to financials, product/service management, value proposition to customer segmentation
  • Develop actionable, data-driven insights to inform product and marketing strategy
  • Lead feasibility analysis for any M&A potential


  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software related businesses developing, launching and building successful digital businesses using contemporary marketing skills in the areas of marketing best practices, brand, communications (traditional and digital), and paid-earned-owned media


  • MBA candidates and/or advanced degrees in related technical areas
  • Strong demand generation and sales enablement
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and creative thinking
  • Online marketing techniques and best practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully working with cross-functional teams and matrix management
