Will serve as CFO over two companies with combined revenue of $100-120 million, part of a $500 million privately held company. Each company has a Controller and small accounting staff. Position reports to President of the two operating companies with dotted line reporting to the CFO of the parent company. Must be capable of driving business performance improvement by challenging the management team through detailed financial analysis and recommendations in areas such as margin and profitability by customer and service line, pricing, cost control, best practice and efficiency improvement plans, investment appraisal and working capital management. Must be capable of taking a lead role in due diligence and integration as part of on-going M&A activities. This role calls for a self-starter who is comfortable in entreprenurial and transitioning environments. Must be proficient with preparing 13-week cash flow projection model and financial modeling in general.
Construction experience is helpful/desirable. Profit recognition is primarily done on a job cost basis. Percentage-of-completion profit recognition experience would also be desirable. Other industries will be considered but the real need is for someone with job cost experience. Will be working closely with senior management and project management to develop an accurate cost system for multiple projects that can be used as a key financial tool. Will be actively involved in review and approval of key new business RFP or bids to ensure financialrisks are addressed in effective pricing.
An undergraduatedegree in accounting, business or finance is required. MBA and/or CPA is highly desirable. Should have 15-20years of experience in progressively responsiblefinancial positions and a stable work history. Previoius public accounting experience would be helpful but not necessarily required. Must have a track record of collaboratively solving complex business problems at various levels within the organization.
