CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER ( CFO) for INDIANAPOLIS BASED I/T SERVICES COMPANY

Successful and profitable middle-market I/T Services Company is currently seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer for their growing business. This CFO is now required to help guide the Company through acquisitions and implement sound financial operations and controls. We are in search for a CFO who has a proven ability to develop and utilize a system of key metrics and financial measurements that will be used to help measure operating performance and drive managerial decision making.

As the #1 Financial Officer, this role is a very hands-on, roll up your sleeves, ?dig in deep? type of capacity that requires someone who has a demonstrated track record of shepherding a company through growth, and has an affinity for systems. This opportunity requires a detail oriented Accounting & Finance leader who is comfortable in both the delegating and actually doing of Finance and Accounting procedures. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for all long range financial matters and to establish company-wide financial and administrative objectives. At the same time, it is critical that the CFO be strategic and a trusted financial advisor to the CEO. The CFO should have a strong combination in both Strategy, Operations and coordinating implementation of a new ERP system.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Manage the cash-flow position of the company. Responsibility includes authority to establish credit and collection and purchasing policies and to establish schedules of payment of bills and financialobligations.

Evaluate, implement and maintain all financial and accounting systems as well as improve on all existing systems. Assist in the implementation of new Accounting and Operating system.

Generate monthly and quarterly financial statement packages for management, investor / board lenders and auditors as well as organize financial information and consolidation policies across subsidiaries and business units to facilitate accuracy, clarity and timeliness of reporting.

Ensure data integrity of the General Ledger and reconciliation of all Sub-Ledger accounts across entities. Ensure the maintenance of appropriate financial records and preparation of financialreports. Train and oversees accounting support staff for daily A/P, A/R and inventory costing functions.

Create scorecard / dashboard for each distributionchannel. Keep CEO informed with periodic metric reports and recommend new or revised policies or programs when needed. Assist the Sales department in analyzing gross margins by services and advising on improvements to help both increases in top-line revenue and profitability. Responsible for developing and utilizing a system of key metrics, KPI?s and Financial measurements used to assess operating performance and drive business decisions.

Develop budgets and oversee financial planning and analysis. Participate in development of risk management policies and tools for areas such as collections, cash management / treasury.

Coordinate all tax returns and required statutory filings. Minimize the Company?s Tax Liabilities and Work with management team to develop compensation incentives, growth pricing and cost containment strategies.

Preparation of Long-Term Financial Planning and Financial Modeling, including preparing Targeted, Best Case & Worst Case analysis including Five Year Rolling Plan.

Development and adherence to agreed upon financialreporting deadlines, company policies, and departmental procedures as well as organize financial information.

THE RIGHT EXPERTISE:

Initial Public Accounting / CPA foundation preferred. 10-14+ years of successful experience as a CFO or Divisional CFO ready to take on the CFO role and demonstrated track record of achievement and helping with top line revenue / growth of the business.

Previous experience reporting to or working at The Board of Directors Level.

Proven ability to create, implement, and utilize a System of Key Metrics and Financial Measurements (IE: Benchmarking & Scorecarding ) used to measure operating performance and help drive managerial decision making.

 

Previous experience within a Business Services / Professional Services company with knowledge of services utilization and realization metrics preferred.

Experience with complex revenue recognition and specialized billing arrangements.

Hands-On ERP Systems implementation experience.

A systems approach to transactions and can implement structure.

Strong Operational skill-sets with business acumen. Strategically sound and treats the business as if its your own family owned business.

Previous M & A execution experience coupled with being well-versed in both post acquisition integration and participating in due diligence and analysis of targeted acquisitions.

Proven track record of helping drive both top-line revenues and EBITDA.
