About the Job
As the CFO, you will build and lead a highly experienced team focused on developing state-of-the-art bookkeeping, AR, AP, Rev Rec, and FP&A processes. You will report directly to the CEO and the board of directors.
The position requires a unique individual who can lead Focal System’s finance strategy. We are looking for a player coach that can lead and roll up their sleeves if need be. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in electronic products and manufacturing with really WIP.
As a leader, you will inspire your team through your words, actions, and frequent, small victories. As a manager, you will focus your team on clear, prioritized goals. As an individual contributor, you will define and communicate Focal Systems’ finance strategy, roadmap, plans, and priorities at all levels of the organization. You will eliminate any surprises to the CEO and board of directors by proper forecasting and modeling. You will guide the team on ways to improve our financials constantly.

Proven experience: You have multiple examples under your belt of building a strong finance team, running the books, and seeing around corners.
A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in controlling finance leadership roles in an at-scale hardware product company with more than three years working at the highest strategic levels of an organization. Experience working with a globally distributed organization is strongly preferred.
