**This position is located in Sibley, Iowa
SUMMARY: The Director of Accounting/CFO is responsible to plan, organize, and direct the fiscal services of Osceola Community Hospital, including budget development and oversight, budget interpretation, coordination, and administration of policies on finance, accounting, insurance, investments, financial/accounting systems, health information services, patient financial services, purchasing, revenue management, financial analysis, internal controls and auditing. In addition, he/she will perform other duties as requested by the CEO of the hospital.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in healthcare financial accounting preferred.
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
This position requires a valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by the Osceola Community Hospital automobile liability insurance carrier.
