Handi Medical Supply was founded in 1988 in response to a growing need to provide high-quality, safe, dependable home medical equipment and supplies on a timely basis. Our customers depend on us to deliver and support over 8,000 unique product offerings. Our target market consists of hospitals, transitional care units, clinics, healthcare organizations, group homes, assisted living centers, insurance and healthcare purchasing groups, and in-home users of medical supplies and equipment.

You would be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the company by working with the owners and other executive leadership team members to establish and execute long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. You would align the company, internally and externally, with its strategic vision and facilitate significant growth. You would guide team members towards these objectives by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the long-term and day-to-day operations of the organization.
Leadership and Vision
Provides mentorship and leadership to other executive team members while holding them accountable to the major functions they are responsible for and integrating these functions of Handi Medical Supply. Responsible for building the best leadership team by hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, motivating and conducting performance appraisals while ensuring productivity and compliance with all policies and procedures. Attracts, recruits and retains necessary members of the executive team and provides opportunities for development. Enforces and oversees training on the laws, codes and regulations that pertain to the services and equipment provided by the organization.
Determines how Handi Medical Supply will differentiate itself from its competitors to achieve the company mission. Determines markets to enter, product lines, and capital sources. Establishes and maintains multi-site operations. Drives the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives. Establishes credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges. Spearheads the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes. Collaborates with the executive management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and team members designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company. Participates in state and national associations/conferences to ensure effective and efficient business operations in alignment with industry standards. Becomes more indispensable to our referral sources through the use of hospital liaisons, technical solutions, discharge coordination, reduction in readmissions to hospitals and care facilities, and outcome-based data on our customers.
Aligns people and budget resources against strategic business priorities. Oversees implementation of focused business development processes. Monitors staff compliance with regulatory and accreditation guidelines. Works towards effective customer outcomes. Proactively mitigates business, operational, and compliance risks. Facilitates a process to implement necessary improvements to company policies and procedures.
Build Team and Enhance Company Culture
Responsible for building a company culture that reflects the company's mission and values. Acts as an ambassador to exemplify through his/her actions and conduct the Handi Medical Supply mission and values. Holds Handi Medical Supply team members accountable to the mission and values statement. Plans for regularly scheduled and specially scheduled team meetings to allow for communication and sharing of information to facilitate consistency in the organization. Attracts, retains, and develops world-class talent while building on the existing team. Cultivates a high-performing, agile, one-team culture. Empowers the team towards autonomous delivery, while exercising appropriate balance of control. Formalizes training program to include positions, responsibilities, culture, values, and personal growth.
