Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Policy and Innovation, and as a member of the Sector Management Team, the CEqO will help to set strategic direction for the sector, and establish plans, priorities, and objectives as it relates to CMHC’s equity and anti-racism commitments. The incumbent will also help to shape an overarching vision and strategy for equity at CMHC, embedding an equity presence in all that the company does.

The new CEqO will have a deep and abiding commitment to tackling systemic issues affecting historically marginalized employees, as well as the communities served by our institution; promotes a culture of respect, equity, and fairness; and, delivers positive outcomes that permeate the organization. We are reputed for being able to understand, appreciate, and interact with a wide range of audiences, and we develop and present information compellingly in an effort to bring people along.
Minimum qualifications:
The incumbent will possess a university degree or college diploma in a related discipline (e.g. equity studies, social justice, sociology, public administration, law, etc.), or a combination of education, training, and experience, and is able to communicate in both of Canada’s official languages.
