Supervises physical plant operation and general maintenance activities for the facilities. Schedules all shift operations to include plant stationary engineer watch and shift mechanics.
Activities monitored include repair maintenance, preventive maintenance performance, project support, office relocations, and vendor interaction/management. Maintains oversight of building supply levels and ordering process.
Supports and advises Director of Facilities Management regarding facility issues and staff management. Participates in operational and capital budget management and planning process. Occasionally interacts with patients ranging in age.
Qualification: High School or vocational/trade school graduation. Associate degree in mechanical engineering preferred. Grade 1/First Class Maryland Boiler Operators License required. Previous boiler plant or maintenance supervisory experiencerequired. Must have a minimum of five (5) years boiler plant operation experience with three (3) years maintenance supervisory experience.
Equipment experience includes high pressure boiler plant environment, shift management operation to include plant overview, routine repair maintenance, and project management. Experience with automated energy control (DDC), equipment life cycle planning, automated maintenance management system experience, capital and operating budget development.
