Overview

You will build and manage a team that isresponsible for controls, compliance and enterpriserisk management.  As a payments processing company, ensuring that we meet the regulatory requirements in our markets has always been critical to our success.  As newly acquired by Chase Paymentech, we need to implement the right controls culture and structure to ensure that we continue to managerisk as a fundamental component of our success.  You will beresponsible for technical, operational and regulatory compliance (inclusive of AML/KYC) and willpartner with other parts of the organization to ensure that our products and services meet the regulatory andnetwork requirements, both domestically andinternationally.  While based in Redwood City, you willpartner with other teams at Chase in a matrixedreporting structure to meet the goals. This is an exciting opportunity towork within a startup environment while building a controls program.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Build a controls program and drive the implementation of a controls culture across the organization while collaborating effectively with business partners, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Technology and Audit teams
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure regulatory compliance in product & operations inclusive of AML/KYC and other regulatory requirements, both domestically and internationally
  • Influence business partners toward a proactive control culture using a risk-based approach that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
  • Display confident leadership and sound judgment to influence a strong risk management culture across business practices
  • Promote a sustainable and rigorous control environment that identifies, escalates, addresses, and mitigates risks in a timely manner
  • Perform ongoing analysis of program related data and develop ad-hocreports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years of experience within a regulatory compliance or risk management function
  • Experience in a payments processing environment
  • Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate in conjunction with business partners
  • Ability to develop compelling and meaningful executive presentations that will drive opportunities / recommendation for improvement
  • Proven manager who can build, train and develop employees on risk concepts and the application to risk and control evaluation
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities; able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional relationship building and influencing skills and ability to effectively partner with all levels of management across numerous teams both within WePay and Chase
