Position

This person will be reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, who has an impressive background and excellent reputation. They are looking for an intelligent leader who can oversee, mentor and further develop a best-in-class accounting department, comprised of approximately 20 employees. This person will be a communicative, forward-thinking leader who can handle complex issues and drive meaningful change. Additionally, this person will be an important facilitator of the company’s positive culture to the accounting team. This person will gain exceptional experience with the upcoming major acquisition and integration work and will cross collaborate with various departments of the organization. They are looking for a forward-thinking individual who can make a significant, positive impact to the company. This person will set the standards of excellence and make significant improvements to processes, efficiencies, technology, and talent management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years of meaningful management/leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferable in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field. CPA required.
• Big 4 or Regional Public Accounting Firm experience, combined with corporate experience.
• Minimum 4-5 years in a Controller and/or Chief Accounting Officer position.
• Previous experience with private-equity backed company and/or experience with multiple acquisitions/integrations experience highly desired.
• Nimble mindset with ability to work successfully in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
• This person must be a sharp, forward-thinking problem solver with high standards of excellence.
• A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex challenges through critical thinking and requiring cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to drive and influence change in a respectful manner with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in talent development (hiring, training, and mentoring).
• Ability to gain the trust and confidence of others quickly, and lead by example.

Compensation
