Job Description

Perforce develops DevOps tools that improve software quality and security as well as team productivity for several of the world’s leading companies, such as PIXAR, CD Projekt Red, NASA, Verizon, Honda and NVIDIA.

Position Summary:

Perforce is looking to hire a Channel Sales Manager, Puppet to ignite and nurture partnerships by identifying and recruiting new partners for long-term success as well as manage existing partners to drive growth. The priority is to maximize partner net new opportunities and revenue generation by managing all activities associated with pipeline management, sales coaching, and forecasting and partner onboarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner Recruitment: You will develop strategic relationships with key partners to drive commitment to Puppet products and solutions and to increase the revenue.
  • Pipeline Creation: Drive joint pipeline from demand generation to close utilizing partner and Puppet field sales teams. Effectively communicate, report, track, and manage sales pipelines to senior management. Promote collaboration with internal and external resources to facilitate regular communication between partners and Puppet.
  • Pipeline Management: Utilize tools and consistent processes for qualifying and forecasting partner pipeline. You will develop and execute strategies to increase pipeline volume and velocity jointly with partners.
  • Influencing and Negotiation: Exhibit credibility and executive presence, influencing, and instilling confidence at all executive and management levels.
  • Business Reviews: Conduct quarterly reviews with Top Channel Partners to drive accountability and report on success metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Field Sales, Inside Sales, and Marketing teams to generate net-new partner sourced pipeline and revenue.

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to build and leverage relationships with partners as well as internal area leadership, peers, field sales, SEs, inside sales, and marketing teams.
  • Planning and financial skills including business planning and knowledge of the partner ecosystem including pipeline management and forecasting Understanding of partner economics, business models, and motivations for customer success.
  • Ability to communicate a value proposition.
  • Understanding of both partners' and customers' business needs.
  • Outstanding communication skills - written, oral, and facilitation. Experience in pipeline building with partners including planning, gaining senior sponsorship, delivering training, sales coaching, and timely execution/follow-up.
  • Prospecting and sales skills - assist partners to drive new opportunities. Proven experience in driving sales opportunities from lead generation to closure, motivating channel partners to hunt for new logos, and accelerate deal closure.
  • 7+ years of experience in software or related high-tech industry
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.

The base pay range targeted for this role is $120,000 - $130,000 USD. This position could also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits including, but not limited to incentive compensation, health benefits, retirement benefits, life insurance, wellness programs, total time off and other employee perks that may be offered by Perforce from time to time. The actual offer will depend on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s education, skills, qualifications, depth of experience and other relevant business considerations.
