About the Position

Channel Marketing Specialists develop and implement marketing programs that target specific channels to promote services or products. The Channel Marketing Specialist at WatchGuard is responsible for supporting our global channel community, understanding and leveraging all WatchGuard solutions, including the channel partner program, products, services, and technology integrations.

This individual will work closely with the Channel Marketing, Field Marketing, and Product Marketing teams to develop and deliver key messages to channel partners while driving overall success with WatchGuard's partner tools and resources. This individual will help with the implementation of the WatchGuardONE Program, including partner onboarding, competency requirements, utilization of marketing funds, and adoption of program benefits.

This role requires someone who works cross-functionally and is a strong leader for developing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously. You need to understand how to source feedback from both internal and external audiences and bring those ideas to life, and then continue to improve and refine upon what is ultimately delivered. The Channel Marketing Specialist should thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • As channel marketing specialist you will be responsible for developing, driving and implementing channel marketing activity for select groups of channel partners and field teams
  • Research and evaluate competitive partner programs including online systems and partner programs
  • Manage the development, launch, and maintenance of all partner tools and platforms, including the delivery of sales enablement, business visibility, marketing development, and information dissemination
  • Maintain an ever-evolving partner portal including development, training and adoption
  • Implement channel campaigns in order to expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets including brand development and partner retention
  • Work closely with all aspects of the business to gather product and channel insights
  • Build relationships with teams across the organization to help WatchGuard's global channel community get the most out of their partnership
  • Utilize data and shopper insights to provide recommendations to drive category distribution and market share
  • Understand and manage changing and differing priorities depending on territories and how these impact channel marketing
  • Write, develop, and deliver ongoing partner communications, including emails, partner portal content, and corporate presentations
  • Work with management to develop and communicate quarterly promotions to a variety of audiences globally
  • Support the overall implementation of WatchGuardONE across ongoing communications, training, development and maintenance of program materials, and tracking and analyzing the success of initiatives
  • Successful management of 3rd party vendors including on-line stores and SPIFF programs

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of the distribution channels for the industry
  • Relevant experience in cyber security, SaaS and other cloud technologies
  • Web based competency including light coding
  • Ability to prioritize numerous simultaneous tasks
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in channel marketing and sales, partner programs, and product management
  • Experience managing marketing budgets ideally within a channel marketing setting
