As the Channel Partner Energy Marketing Manager, you will play a significant role in building out the Marketing function for the solar business at Standard Industries. This role requires a mixture of strategic thinking and roll-up-your-sleeves execution of marketing activities related to development of our roofing contractor channel. Responsibilities include development of sales tools (PowerPoint decks, leave-behind materials, product sell sheets), digital assets (website, blog posts, online partner portal and configuration tools), and contractor events (conferences, VIP events). You will be directly responsible for maintaining key relationships with our Energy Sales team, as well as GAF roofing sales and partner contractors.

An ideal candidate will have a background in B2B Marketing, as well as a history of developing highly effective sales and marketing tools in a high-growth environment. Comfort working with multiple stakeholders and in a fast-changing environment are key to success in this role.

Who you’ll work with:

The role reports to the Director of B2B / Channel Marketing and works collaboratively with the Product Management team, Sales teams, and Executive Management, among others. This job is based in San Francisco, CA, with regular meetings in San Jose, CA. The ability to travel up to 20% is required.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop a marketing strategy and approach with the Director of Marketing that allows the Energy business to quickly scale through roofing contractor partner acquisition and adoption of our products
  • Create effective sales and marketing assets from scratch – this is a new role, and you will have the opportunity to build novel assets, as well as leverage the resources of GAF and Standard Industries
  • Manage agency and contractor relationships to ensure creative execution of assets is on-brief, on-schedule, and on-budget
  • Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure assets are being updated to reflect most current needs or product attributes
  • Passionately promote renewable energy, the GAF and Standard Industries brands, and our unique solar energy products

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience developing and executing marketing campaigns
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experienceworking with cross-functional teams, especially high-performing sales organizations
  • Familiarity with trade programs preferred
  • Solar-industry knowledge a plus, including residential solar sales and marketing, operations, installation, software, engineering, finance, or related functions
  • Understanding of marketing best practices, software, platforms, and CRM tools
  • Experience developing marketing strategies from a customer-centric point of view, and using data-driven insights to execute customer acquisition tactics
  • Passion for building a new team with a new brand, increasing adoption of renewable energy, and building out an important sales and marketing channel
  • Travel up to 20% required
