Reporting to Vice President, Global Power Tools, Marketing, Cleco, the Manager, Channel Marketing will be located in Lexington, SC. This position within the Global Power Tools Marketing department will be focused on distribution within the motor vehicle and aerospace verticals. This role is responsible fordeveloping and executing high-impact channel programs for current products and new product launches. The Channel Marketing Manager drives distributor and end user sales by communicating these programs via the field sales organization. The Manager is also responsible for using sales, profit, customer, consumer, and competitor data to make informed decisions regarding tactical execution of channelmarketing strategies that align with business objectives.This position includes regular interaction with the field sales organization, product teams, and the marketing communications team.  

Key Responsibilities

·        Develop a thorough competitive and situational assessment of the channel to support strategic planning and annual marketing planning

·        Create and drive marketing programs to meet strategic growth objectives and to grow sales among customers (via push programs) and end-users (via pull programs)

·        Collaborate with sales team and product team to position products commercially that align with strategic goals

·        Work alongside sales, product managers, and marketing communications teams to engineer brand strategies and tactics at the customer level

·        Actively seek out and understand distributor and end user VOC through regular contact to successfully establish new promotions and programs to meet end-user needs

·        Work closely with product teams to effectively launch new product promotions

·        Monitor/track and analyze the effectiveness of programs to supportreporting, course corrections, and decision-making

·        Presentations to customers, consumers, and internal clients about brand information and promotions

·        Line item reviews to gauge product interest and to gain insight on how to better message the products

·        Flexibility to travel. Up to 30% travel

Required Education and Experience

·        Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field

·        4+ years of marketing, sales, or customer service experience 

·        Experience conducting and analyzing market research, then turning findings into actionable projects

·        Experience measuring and tracking success

·        Experience with and exposure to financial statements and understanding their interactions

·        Experience with distributionrequired, motor vehicle and aerospace verticals preferred

·        Experience with digitalmarketing and e-commerce platforms

·        Experience with new product introduction

·        Experiencecollaborating with remote teams

·        Experience with is a plus

·        Strong product knowledge is preferred

·        Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

·        Strong presentation skills

·        Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); SAP skills is a plus

·        Strong knowledge of principles and methods for pricing, promoting, and placing products

·        Data analytic skills (ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data)
