The Channel Business Analyst will play a crucial role in managing channel sales compensation program as well as providing segment-based reporting to drive data driven business insights and initiatives. Primary responsibility will include translating business objectives into effective sales compensation models to drive rep behavior and to maximize quota achievements. Ongoing responsibilities will include managing compensation programs for North American Channels and providing ongoing reporting for various partner segments to build more visibility and help drive sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate sales quotas and ensure accuracy of sales compensation plans
  • Manage monthly commission process for channel sales team - this includes understanding and applying the commission plan consistently, ensuring commissions calculations comply with the plan and managing any exception requests per policy
  • Manage onboarding of new reps per hiring terms and commitments
  • Provide commissions calculations to finance to close out each quarter
  • Maintain compensation performance reporting
  • Analyze and report on effectiveness of compensation plan designs
  • Provide analytical support for related projects and initiatives from time to time
  • Build innovative statistical and financial models to analyze new aspects of business performance
  • Establish metrics required to measure business performance, and provide ongoing reporting to support day-to-day operational as well as critical business decisions
  • Identify or develop cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions
  • Contribute to priority projects with complex analysis and assist in developing recommendation
  • Work closely with business leaders to develop business plans based on historical and forecasted data and reports


  • 6-10 years of experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area
  • Knowledge of research methodology and an ability to manage complex data requests
  • Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
  • Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling
  • Strong business acumen and experience working with commonly used data management / reporting tools
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels in the organization
  • Ability to work and collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in complex projects
  • Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
  • Team player and strong time management skills
  • Can do attitude with an ability to prioritize and deliver in a time bound manner
