Endevis talent acquisition has been retained by a Global Manufacturing leader to assist them in finding a Chief Financial Officer-Norther America. The Chief Financial Officer NA will provide overall direction and leadership for the company and will play a key role in the future growth and development of the business. The Chief Financial Officer will support all functional areas including operations, supply chain, finance, IT, product development, engineering, marketing, MP&L, business development and human resources through a team of functional peers. The CFO will accelerate financial performance of the business.

The CFO leads and manages overall financial function and directs and oversees all financial activities of the company, including financialreporting, short and long-term financial planning, general and cost accounting, tax, banking and cash management. He/she represents the Company on financial accounting issues, ensuring that the Company meets all corporate, statutory and regulatory requirements. To achieve success in this high intensity, rapidly growing environment, the CFO will need a broad array of financial, technical, managerial, and leadership skills. He/she will particularly need to be competent in:

  • Mergers and acquisitions ? handling the financial aspects of M&A activities, pre-deal and post-deal.
  • Cash management ? managing and correctly allocating cash, working with banks, meeting shareholder dividend expectations, etc.
  • Multinational business ? establishing and managing international operations, creating holding companies and operating entities, handling currency translations, etc.
  • Systems ? developing and implementing financial and operational systems, and organizing people and processes so that these systems are used to full advantage.
  • Anticipating and managing growth ? adapting the organization as growth occurs via acquisitions and/or organic expansion.
  • Supporting the operations of the business, advising on the most effective opportunities for sustainable profitability.
  • More strategically, the CFO will enhance the value of the enterprise through collaboration with his/her peers on organic growth, and the identification and integration of strategic bolt-on acquisitions, and restructuring as appropriate, thereby driving wealth creation for Management and Shareholders.

Responsibilities of the CFO NA

  • Directs the activities of the company?s Finance team.
  • Collaborates with peers on proper structure of the organization to ensure alignment of the business to market demand, thus ensuring delivery of earnings and cash generation targets.
  • Directs the development of annual operating plan, capital budgets, and strategic plans, approves spending to budgetary levels.
  • Ensures strong working capital management by optimizing A/R, A/P and inventory levels.
  • Supervises the preparation of reports for analyzing operations, identifying problems, and recommending/implementing corrective actions.
  • Empowers and develops not only the Finance team members to achieve their greatest potential, but empower and develop all talent in support of professional development and business goal achievement.
  • Works with peers to identify potential synergistic bolt-on acquisition opportunities; rapidly integrates said bolt-ons once acquisitions are complete.
  • Implement rollout and/or upgrade of organizational systems.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the NA Executive Team, the CEO, and other members of senior management on financial and business issues.
  • Provide thought leadership in determining and driving the company's financial strategies and participate in setting the company's overall strategic direction.
  • Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization, operations, and with the Executive Team as a capable financial advisor and developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, objectives and business plans, including performance targets, policies and key metrics to achieve the Company?s overall business objectives.
  • Work closely with other members of the executive team on new investments, mergers, acquisitions and strategic partnerships and alliances. Take the lead in the due diligence required for these transactions.
  • Manage the company's capital structure, and provide leadership for obtaining and managing financing and investments.
  • Evaluate the impact on the organization of any regulatory requirements, including accounting changes or other emergent financial issues.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financialreports and operational trends to assist the President, CEO, and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
  • Ensure appropriate controls and record-keeping procedures are in place to meet all statutory regulations, accounting standards, practices and audit requirements.
  • Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company.


  • Bachelor?s Degree with 15 or more years of progressively responsiblefinancialexperience.
  • Master?s degree in Business (MBA) is strongly preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) , Chartered Accountant (CA) or some other equivalent certification.
  • The successful individual must have proven success at teaming with a CEO and being accepted as a business partner with the top management team. An individual who is currently a CFO at either a public or private automotive supply company would be ideal.
  • Demonstrated technical accounting strength as a finance leader of a multinational company that has experienced turnaround, rapid growth and/or major change.
  • Senior-level financialexperience in a manufacturing company is required. Minimum 5years Automotive-related
  • Demonstrated experience in functioning as a collaborative member of a high-performing executive team is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and mentoring the finance organization and its team members is required.
  • Should understand the philosophy of lean manufacturing. Must be highly skilled at standard costing and operational accounting.
  • Cash management skills and a successful record of dealing with lenders and bankers in important.
  • M&A experience is essential, as is regulatory knowledge, investor interaction, and boardroom exposure.
  • Successful experience establishing and managing (from a financial standpoint) geographically dispersed operations.
  • Record of success in situations involving transformation, rapid growth, and fast changing conditions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the finance, financial planning, accounting, compliance and tax aspects of both private and public corporations, preferably on a global basis.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, and developing and implementing new systems and procedures.
  • Demonstrated track record in leveraging balance sheets, generating cash, and delivering earnings performance improvement in tough industries.
  • The candidate will have proven track record of successfully delivering increasing profitability and shareholder value over an extended period.
