Job Description

The Enterprise Capacity & Materials Planning Strategy (ECMPS) team within Pratt & Whitney is a rapidly growing organization established to assess the demand and output capacity of the entire P&W operations and supply chain network. Major functions of the ECMPS organization are Demand & Management, Network Capacity, Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP), and Master Scheduling. Within ECMPS the CE Aftermarket Operations Materials Management organization has a position open for a Materials Leader. This role will focus on materials management processes across our global network of engine centers and repair units. The candidate will support current and new material solutions, manage inventory, drive on-time delivery, and facilitate communications across the network. The candidate will also be a part of the Materials team that is transforming the overhaul and repair business which will include designing and applying analytics to anticipate material issues and creating a performance for every part processes to ensure speed and performance.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Materials network management expediting to mitigate immediate shortages • Inventory initiative tracking and reporting • QCPC collection to prevent turn back recurrences • Create standard work to facilitate delivery assurance process • Cross train with peers to maximize group adaptability • Strategic rotable material analysis and support • Sr. Mgt reporting on network performance, OMM forecasting This position also requires skills in business analytics and decision supportprocesses to directly support senior management request and strategic decisions. This unique position will evolve based on the candidates experience and the business needs; however, the focus of this role will be to create and improve processes that will accelerate the value stream, reduce cost and leverage network as the business grows. This position may be called upon to assist engine centers and repair units on site, as needed. The best qualified candidates for this position should have demonstrated experience in operations or materials management strategies and inventory management, as well as familiarity with the aftermarket business.

Experience/Qualifications

Functional skills required as follows: •Familiarity with engine disassembly / assembly helpful •Customer focus and adaptability are primary competencies for this position. •Experience in delivery assurance desired •Knowledge of inventory management processespreferred •Proven use of the ACE tools (specifically QCPC, VSM, & Process Mapping) •Demonstrated analytical skills and quantitative thinking in solving business problems. •Familiarity with SAP Aftermarket Systems preferred •Proficiency in MS office tools (especially Excel & Access)and Oracle a plus •Financial /Business acumen helpful

Education Certification
Requires a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline, supply chain, or business preferred and a minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
