Responsibilities:

•Assists with category strategy work in partnership with the Director of Retail Sales Operations, Field Sales and Marketing to unlock growth, by Identify opportunities for partnership and growth both nationally and at the customer level.

•Administers and updates all Category Management and Trade Management Scorecards and Tools with Nielsen data.

•Develops presentations for select customers Business Reviews and Strategic Initiatives.

•Utilize insights to deliver retailer-centric strategies for growth and help deliver recommendations to bring the strategy to life at key customers.

•Communicate and meet with field sales and commercial partners to proactively plan, review and act upon business opportunities and recommendations

•Be a Category Expert and drive insight into action by influencing internal and external stakeholders through fact-based selling stories

•Analytical interpretation of data and translation into visually impactful presentations. Utilize best in class tools such as Retail Link, IRI, JDA, Spectra, and other industry tools.

•Collaborate with cross functional teams (Consumer Insights, Marketing, Trade Management and Field Sales) to leverage syndicated data and shopper insights in order to drive value for Continental Mills through space and assortment initiatives

•Provide Planogram feedback and be a value-added partner bringing customer first assortment and flow recommendations

•Reinforce CM’s Category Expertise by attending & presenting Category and Shopper insights at CM Strategic Customer Reviews. Provide recommendations that maximize a customer’s performance on CM brands.

•Tracks and publishes Nielsen results on Broker Initiatives in CM’s Annual Broker Incentive program.

•Provide Category Management cross-training to CM’s Field Sales and Sales Operations team, as needed.

Skills & Experience:

•Strong Functional Knowledge of Category Management

•Advanced shopper behavior research and understanding

•Possesses solid knowledge of MS Office Applications, computers, syndicated data and applications, space management, graphics, spreadsheets, databases.

•Strong root cause problem-solving with a collaborative approach to developing solutions.

•Ability to analyze data and present key insights in a presentation.

•Possess strong listening, written and verbal communication skills

•High degree of professionalism viewed as competent, credible and knowledgeable.

•Works well in a team environment.

•Ability to handle some conflict and influence others.

•Flexible, with theability to handle changing environment and priorities.

•Commitment to continued self-development and learning.

•Ability to lead changes and works with internal and external contacts.

•Bachelor’s Degree inBusiness Administration, Marketing, Economics or Accounting.
