Taos is immediately hiring a Career Development Manager to join our corporate headquarters in San Jose! Strong remote candidates will be considered.

  • What you'll be doing:Consultant Manager:
  • Developing, building, and maintaining lasting and trusted relationships with consultants
  • Conducting annual performance reviews and ensuring salaries are fair and competitive throughout the year
  • Setting and managing expectations of conduct on and off engagement, and working in tandem with Client Success Manager to provide feedback and coaching on assignment
  • Making determinations on re-use on engagement, conducting terminations as necessary
  • Career Coach:
  • Conducting regular meetings to identify career goals, setting and tracking development plans
  • Ensuring consultant is being provided opportunities that align with their skill sets and have growth potential
  • Directing consultants to existing trainings at Taos Emerging Talent Labs and identifying gaps and trends to recommend for future trainings
  • Assisting consultant in their branding and self-marketing on and off engagement
  • Taos Experience Manager:
  • Partnering with internal departments to ensure smooth on and off-boarding from client engagements
  • Representing the consultant to the business and influencing change with departments that effect consultant satisfaction
  • Making connections to the Taos community though events, lunches, classes, mentors, etc.
  • Providing recommendations on how the consultant can enhance their experience and increase their overall impact with and to Taos
  • Performing other duties as assigned


  • What you'll bring with you:Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • At least 5 years of management experience
  • Relevant work experience with strong understanding of consulting, IT, and the motivation and retention of staff
  • Demonstrated comfort working with IT professionals
  • Proactive communication with solid documentation skills and commitment to follow through
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically, and to take a 'hands-on" approach when required
  • Reliability with a keen sense of priorities and deadlines
  • Driver's license or other ability to get to locations around the Bay Area
