Responsible for the strategic planning, business development and growth, and quality improvement plans for cardiac and vascular programs. Coordinates and supports administration and management in the integration of financial, clinical and quality issues for the specialty service lines to achieve high quality service in an efficient and economic manner.
Plans, directs, and coordinates the development and implementation of cardiac and vascular programs and services.
Provides consultation in clinical specialty to related healthcare personnel and other entities regarding program development and departmental operations.
Direct and coordinate the delivery of care within the service line including cardiac catheterization lab, vascular lab, and Cardiac Rehab. Collaborates closely with all department leaders to ensure effective and efficient functioning of service line. Serves as the primary liaison between hospital and cardiologists, surgeons and other physicians who perform procedures in the Cardiovascular Lab. Coordinate activities of the cardiovascular medical director and other physician leaders.Facilitate the development and use of clinical protocols or clinical pathways for the CV service line and monitor clinical and technical developments; promote the advancement of new programs and services to assure Cardiovascular Services are competitive and of the highest quality.Develop and manage the annual business plan for service line that integrates with organizational and system-wide goals and develops outreach strategies to enhance referral processes.Assists and oversee the analysis of reports and implements a data-driven strategy for the CV service line that is based on the results of the registry reports.Assist with the development of operational budgets based on current and future needs to enhance development of the CV service line. Perform variance analysis on quality and financial outcomes and provide reports to Senior Leadership.Ensure safe delivery of quality and clinical care according to defined standards and case management plans.Delivers direct patient care appropriate to age of the patient servedEnsure that staff will have appropriate developmental plans and that appropriate resources and support are also allocated to ensure their completion..
