Group Treasury

Under the leadership of the Group Treasurer, Group Treasury is responsible for managing the finite financial resources of the firm through capital management, liquidity management, asset and liability management, funding, and other core treasury activities. Group Treasury resides within the Group Finance organization led by the Chief Financial Officer.

Role Description

You will be responsible for the implementation of group and entity plans to ensure the efficient deployment of capital resources in North America. Key areas of focus will be the forecasting of capital projections for various initiatives, legal entity and balance sheet management, as well as Capital Plan documentation. You will work in the capital planning and management team working with the various business lines in the implementation of the strategic projects. You will report to the Director - Capital Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring progress projections
  • Execution of capital projections
  • Coordinating review and challenge workshops
  • Coordinating the presentation of results
  • Enhance trigger frameworks for liquidity and capital
  • Participate in legal entity strategy projects and workshops
  • Participate in strategic legal entity programs
  • Coordinating the implementation of various regulations affecting capital structure of the North American entities

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience at a major bank or consulting firm, with specific experience in capital stress testing preferred
  • University degree with concentration in economics, finance, or accounting preferred
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written including the ability to draft high quality communications in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with teams, matrix management, and multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional process and project management skills, with the ability to execute against tight deadlines and remain agile to evolving requirements
  • Strong presentation skills including proficiency with MS Office suite, proficiency in Wdesk a plus 
  • CFA preferred, but not required
