ABOUT THE JOB


The National Political Advocacy Department seeks applications for the full-time position of Campaign Strategist, Justice Division.

The National Political Advocacy Department (NPAD) was created in 2015 to strengthen the work of the ACLU at the federal, state and local levels of government. The department is harnessing the political power that comes from having more than eight million members and supporters, as well as affiliates in every state. The department includes a central office in Washington, DC and a large contingent of staff based in New York, NY that drive ACLU advocacy efforts and campaigns.

The Justice Division of NPAD leads the ACLU's advocacy work on criminal justice reform, policing, drug law reform, and capital punishment. The Division includes the ACLU's Campaign for Smart Justice, which is focused on ending mass incarceration in the United States by winning state-based reforms needed to cut the size of our nation's incar
