The Campaign Manager works directly with our client success and analytics teams, managing campaigns for some of the world’s largest advertisers. Those working in this role will work closely and collaboratively with teammates across all functions to deliver exceptional campaign execution and performance!
What you'll do:
- Execute digital programs to meet or exceed client expectations
- Understand Valassis Digital offerings and platform capabilities to match client needs with optimal campaign setup
- Understand and master ability to set up, execute, and optimize campaigns for client success
- Serve as a leader on the team – by example or more formally – in striving for ongoing improvement, taking ownership in making that happen
- Work well and positively influence relationships across other teams and functions
- Manage campaign life-cycle from contract to delivery and billing
- Reduce error rate by supporting efforts to improve execution and workflow of campaigns –contribute to strategies to continually improve on error rate
- Maintain full understanding of high profile and strategic account campaigns relevant to respective client cohort, exhibiting expertise across owned accounts
- Support efforts and contribute toward regular testing against department KPIs and how metrics impact clients and vision of the One Team org and company
- Be empowered to act as first line of defense for issues on problematic campaigns – make sure critical issues are addressed promptly/accurately and seek creative approaches to resolutions – escalate to management as necessary
- Process and efficiency improvement, including support of outsourcing strategy
- Improve efficiency by supporting efforts to improve execution and workflow of campaigns –contribute to strategies to continually improve on efficiency
- Support the efforts in automating and outsourcing tasks, contributing with ideas and helping to prepare for increasing bandwidth to up-level the Campaign Management team
- Support and share ideas on innovative action plans to showcase and/or improve team dashboard(s)
- Prepare to take on more analytical and marketing science tasks, including increased roles in campaign optimization, as the team gains efficiency - this includes assistance in task identification and learning/training those tasks
- Become SME in other areas/products to contribute to org and for career advancement opportunities
- When serving as SME, provide peers continuous learning and career development opportunities to enhance knowledge of programmatic buying, data management, media, and our clients
What you'll bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5+ years of account or program management within the digital media industry, or similar relevant experience in digital advertising and/or client service operations
- Basic understanding of programmatic buying via DSP’s, data management, audience targeting, DMP’s, mobile, desktop
- Knowledge of 3rd party tags, rich media, HTML, Javascript
- Proficiency in discussing campaign optimizations and technical troubleshooting
- Exposure to Atlassian/JIRA software is a plus!
- 2-4+ years working on a high performing team
- Tremendous attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience digging into raw data sets, creating pivot tables, and answering the question, “Why?”
- Innovative in efficiency gains through process, automation, tools, usage of resources, etc. with a desire to increase analytical and/or strategic focus of team
- Willingness to try, fail fast, learn, and iterate
- Ability to lead team members while working on multiple high level and critical campaigns in a fast paced environment
- Ability to independently prioritize tasks and manage a heavy workload of internal and external requests
- Proactively usher projects from start to finish, managing deadlines and deliverables across multiple teams
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and DCM (or other 3rd party ad serving platforms)
- Experience with email marketing and/or digital coupons a plus.
