Overview:

Provides Calibration and Metrology support for manufacturing, laboratories, and facilities. Provides technical support for calibration technicians, engineering and system qualifications. Performs scheduled and unscheduled calibrations as required per standard operating procedures. Operates under both general and specific equipment and processes under constraint of satisfying customers providing it complies with all metrology standards and requirements.

 

• 4+ Years metrology experience

• Calibration experience in electronic and mechanical systems.

• Calibration experience in PLC or PC platform applications

• Plan and coordinate all scheduled calibrations to enhance production process. Includes interaction with all levels of production, maintenance and laboratory management and actual performance of scheduled and unscheduled calibrations.

• Maintain the Metrology/calibration recall program and associated documentation requirements in conformance with such standards as the ISO17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, GMP’s, etc.

• Interact with vendors of calibration parts /standards and perform vendor audits as required.

• Review customer’s requisitions for repair, replacement or capital requests for inspection to ensure the calibration laboratory has the capability to calibrate and maintain the equipment.

• Identify suppliers capable of performing required calibration services for standard re-certifications and instrument repair

  • Plan and coordinate all scheduled calibrations so as to enhance production process. Includes interaction with all levels of production, maintenance and laboratory management and actual performance of scheduled and unscheduled calibrations.
  • Review customer’s requisitions for repair, replacement or capital requests for inspection. Test and measurement equipment to ensure the calibration laboratory has the capability to calibrate and maintain the equipment. 

 

Primary Skills:

• 4+ Years metrology experience

• Calibration experience in electronic and mechanical systems.

Secondary Skills:

• Gagetrak or recall program experiencepreferred

• Skilled in using word processor, spreadsheet and other general-purpose office computer applications.

• Good at troubleshooting, technical writing, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and organization skills

•Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule

•Ability to communicate effectively in multi-discipline, cross cultural environment and levels of organization

 

Educational Qualifications

AA Degree or higher in an Engineering discipline or equivalent training and certification from a vocational electronic technician
