Senior Software Engineer - Investran

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement software solutions that leverages the developer tools of the FIS Investran accounting system to optimize its value to the business. This includes utilizing the Investran API and database to design and develop custom solutions leveraging AWS technologies to enhance the core product. The Senior Software Engineer will also need to be able support and enhance existing automations as well as develop new automations leveraging the Investran development tools.

The Senior Software Engineer will work with management, product owners, and users to define user stories for in-house custom solutions as well as providing production technical support for the Investran application. They will coordinate and work with offshore development and quality assurance resources to develop and deliver high-quality software quickly that is aligned with business and technical priorities. As such the Senior Software Engineer should have excellent problem solving and good written and verbal communication skills. Experience and understanding of agile methodology is also desired.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions utilizing the Investran API (v7 or greater)
• Maintain and optimize exiting ledger system automations
• Troubleshoot functional and performance issues related to reporting and automations
• Monitor and provide support during the Quarter Close process
• Co-ordinate and assist offshore development teams
• Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the agile methodology
• Contribute to User Story refinement and Story Pointing
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Review and debug code
• Perform validation and verification testing
• Maximize unit test code coverage
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
• Document development phases and monitor systems

Qualifications:

• Possess 2+ years’ experience in Alternative Assets or related industry
• Have functional understanding of Partnership and Multitiered Fund Accounting
• Previous support and development experience with general ledger systems
• Oracle, Sage, Dynamics, eFront, AltaVista, etc.
• Investran v7 or greater preferred
• Experience automating complex accounting processes related to the general ledger system
• Investran Active Template, Allocation Rule, and/or Business Event experience preferred
• Have proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
• Demonstrated ability to lead others
• Extensive experience in software development with multiple technologies
• Prior experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of selected programming languages (C#, Python, JavaScript, TSQL)
• Possess in-depth knowledge of relational database (MS SQLServer, MySQL)
