- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of Purchasing/Buyer experience within a manufacturing plant.
- ERP System Experience
The Selected individual will be responsible for procurement of materials and services to support production.
The job will be responsible for working with suppliers to receive quotes and negotiating with suppliers on all terms from price to delivery and all aspects of the supplier contracts.
The Position will be responsible for working with suppliers to assure strong relationships are maintained.
The Buyer role will be responsible for sourcing alternate suppliers and supply sources to improve items purchased and better sources of supply for company. The role will be responsible for cost reductions, cost avoidance and cost recovery through bidding, negotiating, sourcing alternate materials, design changes, value analysis, transportation methods and other items.
The Buyer role will also be responsible for preparing routing documents and reports to improve buying decisions and take appropriate action to continually improve the process. The Buyer will be responsible for executing multiple inventory management checks, establishing new supply sources based on research, reference, survey/audit activities, and communicate/maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturing plants and internal departments. The Buyer will work with all levels of the supply chain organization including division and global professionals and work closely with the Purchasing Manager on special projects to support global initiatives.
