This opportunity is part of the new formed Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). The EPMO was established by the Enterprise Project Management Transformation (EPMT) effort that was launched earlier this year to enhance the ownership, organizational structure, standardization, and oversight of project management functions across the company. Significant change in how Wells Fargo governs, organizes, manages and executes projects is vital, not only to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects, but also to reduce our operational risk.

This role will report to Enterprise PM Tools and Automation (EPMTA) Business Analysis Leader and will conduct business analysis for major change initiatives and complex tools and automations within EMPTA’s purview. They will be accountable for defining the ‘why’ and ‘what’ of EMPTA’s tools and automations and for collaborating with EIT on design. They will champion these tools and automations extensively across the enterprise. They will influence and collaborate extensively with the Group Project Management Offices (GPMOs), their EPMTA peers and other EPMO leaders to create effectiveness and efficiencies for the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Soliciting requirements from cross-functional stakeholders
  • Providing in-depth consultation and guidance to achieve optimal analysis
  • Documenting business requirements, and recommending and influencing the use of appropriate solutions
  • Partnering closely with IT for IT to ensure effective design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of tools and automations
  • Working with peer organizations within EPMTA to ensure appropriate testing for tools and automations has occurred
  • Working with peer organizations within EPMO to ensure accurate and comprehensive training for tools and automations is readily available
  • Ensuring tools and automations align with enterprise policies and objectives
  • Providing direction and guidance to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
  • 3+ years of experience managing and reporting on project financials

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 5+ years of consultative business analysis experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Ability to present results of analyses and recommendations to senior leaders
  • Strong strategic planning skills
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Program and project management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: process improvements, continuous improvement, or LEAN
  • Change management experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Leadership skills including; coaching, training, and mentoring

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience using project management tools such as Clarity
